They don’t stick to the actual clothing and sadly many brands of school uniform, such as Sainsbury’s, don’t put tags inside the collar which means that you can’t display the name inside the collar. This is the prominent place where school staff check when looking for name labels so I won’t order Stikins again but will instead order labels which do stick to the clothing. I tried sticking them inside the collar on the actual clothing but they peeled straight away. Shame as customer service was very good.

Yes, as per the information on our website and the instructions supplied with our labels, they do need to be stuck to the wash-care label rather than anywhere else in clothing. We're sorry you don't find this acceptable as Stikins really are a quick and effective way of labelling school uniform.

Came off first wash not impressed will now have to buy other labels for my son’s school clothes

Normally really happy with these and my third time purchasing for my 3 children however we are two weeks into new term and four stickers have come off my daughters clothes in the wash 😢

  We're really sorry to hear this, Janine and are somewhat puzzled as to why your labels are coming off in the wash. They do have to be applied to the wash-care label and pressed down firmly to make sure the adhesive bonds fully; if the labels are stuck anywhere else on the garment, this would explain why they have come off. Have used these before which is why I ordered more, however, these ones are not sticking for long. One wash later and I am having to look for the stickers in my washing machine or I find them stuck to other clothing. Extremely disappointed. Doubt I will reorder again

I had ordered these before last year and they were excellent so after ordering again this year expecting the same excellent quality I was disappointed that the labels have come off in the wash (several labels in different washes so not just a one-off).

No problems ordering it's the actual labels coming off on every wash so far. I feel like I may as well have tipped my money down the drain :-(

Some came off in the first wash and I didn't realise that they had to be stuck onto laundry labels until after purchasing.

I have had these labels before and they have been fantastic. The previous batch from about 2/3 years ago are still on items I have passed down from one child to another. However this recent batch I have bought have been coming off the clothes during the washing cycle. Despite following all instructions on the packet and replacing the labels to make I'm not at fault this has happened again. I am contacting customer services to see if they can help with this issue. Very disappointed as it's a lot of money.

Alot of the stickers came out after the first wash and aren't as durable as they make out

I do not think these 'write on' ones are as sticky. I have used the other type for years now with no complaint and so will be returning to them. Very disappointed.

Stickers fell off after washing the clothes. And yes, we waited at least 24 hours before washing.

Finding that unless stuck to the washing instructions label that each label lasts 2-3 washes which doesn't make the labels very cost effective. Going to buy some fabric tags and see them instead.

I ordered the last week - you emailed to say you sent them on wednesday 30th August and they haven't arrived 7 days later... and I really need the, my children started school yesterday!!
