How Do Kids Labels Keep My Child’s Belongings Safe?
Name labels identify the owner of an item in an instant. This allows kids to pick up their own belongings and makes it simpler to return lost items. This significantly reduces lost property in schools and nurseries – and ensures that found items can actually be returned, instead of being abandoned to the lost property box forever.
Are Stikins ® Labels Suitable For Kids?
Stikins ® name labels were designed to be as simple as possible – for kids and adults. They fit neatly (but discretely) onto items (avoiding potential embarrassment for older kids), while the clear contrast between white labels and a black font makes the print really clear and easy to read for kids of all ages. This helps kids take on the challenge of taking responsibility for their own belongings (often for the first time) – and reduces the chances of kids grabbing random items because they can’t be bothered to check if they belong to them or not.
Can I Use Kids Labels To Label Clothes?
Yes! Stikins ® labels were developed specifically for clothing and make perfect kids labels for clothing. Apply your name labels onto the wash-care label of school uniform, clothing, and fabric items – including towels, blankets, and soft toys.
Can I Use Kids Labels To Label Shoes?
Yes! Kids shoes often share similar designs, increasing the chances that they’ll get mixed up or misplaced – especially in busy classrooms, cloakrooms, and changing rooms where children might not pay attention to which shoes they have put down and which shoes they have picked up. Using your Stikins ® name labels as shoe labels helps to avoid the horrible frustration of having to buy (expensive) replacements, regardless of whether one or both shoes have gone missing.
Are Stick On Kids Labels Better Than Sew-In Name Tapes And Iron-On Name Tags?
We think so (as do our customers)! Generation after generation of parents have run the back-to-school-gauntlet of spending hours sewing in name tape after name tape (or finding someone else to do it for them). Iron-on name tags were supposed to provide a more efficient option but still take time and care to apply (not to mention a very hot iron) – often with mixed results.
Stick on name labels offer a simpler, more modern solution for kids labels. Peel each label off the backing sheet and stick them down firmly. No needles. No irons. No sewing. No ironing. No problem.
Plus, while sew-in and iron-on labels are only suitable for clothing and fabric items, Stikins ® name labels stick onto pretty much everything and anything, including lunch boxes, water bottles, sport equipment, stationery, and other “essentials” kids won’t do without.
When Did You Start Selling Stikins ® Name Labels As Kids Labels?
“Original” Stikins ® Name Labels launched way back in 2004. Our managing director has four children and was frustrated with the label products available for their school kit at the time. He decided to use his experience in the labelling industry to come up with an alternative and thus the idea for Stikins ® labels was born. Since then, we’ve continued to research and test new materials and manufacturing methods to develop new and improved versions, so that we can continue to offer our customers a labelling solution that really does just stick on and stay on.
What Size Are Stikins ® Labels?
Our name labels measure 30mm wide by 15mm size, which is a perfect size for kids labels. This size is small enough to fit neatly and discretely onto items of all shapes and sizes (including wash-care labels) while still providing plenty of room for your personalisation.
What Colour Are Stikins ® Labels?
One of the reasons our name labels make such good kids labels is their clear colour contrast. In order to make the print as easy to read as possible, we have chosen the strongest possible colour contrast between our labels (which are white) and the personalisation (which is black).
What Size Font Do You Use?
The font size depends on how many characters you request. Our system counts up your characters and selects the largest font size that will allow your personalisation to fit onto your labels. You can use the print preview on our website to get an idea of how big (or small) the font will be on your labels.
How Much Do Stikins ® Labels Cost?
You can choose from four pack sizes; buy 30 for £7.80, 60 for £10.80, 90 for £13.80, and 120 for £16.20.
Each pack comes in a plastic bag, which can be used to safely store any leftover name labels for future use. It is also pre-printed with our instructions for use so they'll be on hand for any last minute labelling emergencies!
How Quickly Will My Kids Labels Be Delivered?
We offer super quick despatch and delivery all year round; we produce labels every day (Monday to Friday, up to 3pm) to ensure that every order despatches same or next working day.
Standard delivery is free and uses Royal Mail’s first class service. Currently around 75% of first class post arrives next day so we advise that orders may take up to seven working days to arrive.

They last forever, never need replacing and super easy to apply. Used for all uniform, shoes, school trip supplies and everything else inbetween. All uniform labelled in less than 5 minutes. I’ve been ordering Stikins for a number of years - they’re great! They adhere to the inside of shoes for a year (the printing does fade by this stage with so much wear) and I have also used them to label lunchboxes and a variety of other personal items for when my kids have gone camping for a week. The delivery is always very prompt and I think they’re great value for money. A very happy customer.

We found Stikins by word-of-mouth. I had fallen over, labelling my children's clothes, because my stitching is too slow and too haphazard. Bizarrely, Stikins' offer is to stick to your children's clothes, and -- and this is the good bit -- to _stay_ stuck there. Remarkably, they do a pretty good job of staying stuck on. Now, labelling new clothes for my children, is more about remembering when they are new, and keeping the Stikins in a handy place. Whereas before, it was about hoping I had an adequately sharp needle, and appropriate thread, and looking forward to a painful and probably bloodied finger, and always disappointed at my untidy stitching. [Aside. Although they are pretty good at staying stuck, there are some clothing labels which don't take them as well. Occasionally I find one in the washing machine pump access trap.]
