Production News: Autumn Despatch & Delivery Update Due To Further Postal Strikes
Today and tomorrow will see further postal strikes taking place. So, we’ve put together a quick autumn update to our despatch and delivery terms. Read on to find out when we’ll be posting out orders of Stikins ® name labels over the next few days.
Upcoming Despatch & Delivery Of Stikins ® Name Labels
Royal Mail workers are striking today and tomorrow. This strike action will impact despatch and delivery times for some orders. During strike days Royal Mail do not collect, deliver, or process mail (with some exceptions).
We will post orders placed between 3pm on Thursday 29th September and 3pm on Monday 3rd October on Monday 3rd October.
Orders placed this week and next week may also take longer to arrive as Royal Mail work to clear the backlog generated during the strike period.
We use Royal Mail’s first class service and advise that items can take up to seven working days to arrive. During and after the strike period, orders travelling through the Royal Mail system may take longer to arrive, and more items will take longer than usual to arrive.
During this month’s earlier strike action, some customers reported that their orders did manage to travel through Royal Mail’s system quite normally (taking just a day or two to arrive). Others found that their name labels took the full seven working days to arrive.
We will continue to print orders according to our usual production schedule. This means they will be ready and waiting when Royal Mail collect from us on Monday.
Our website indicates when we will post out your name labels. This notification appears on the order form page and on the final confirmation page. Please make a note of this date and allow plenty of time for your order to arrive.
You will also receive an email when your name labels have been printed. This email lets you know that your order is ready for despatch, not that it has been despatched.
