How Do Clothes Labels Stop Clothing Getting Lost?

Can I Apply Stikins ® Labels Directly Onto Clothing?
When using our name labels as clothes labels, we recommend applying them onto the wash-care label and not directly onto clothing. This is because wash-care labels use a specific kind of material, while clothing can be made using thousands of different material blends.
All of our tests were conducted using Stikins ® labels applied onto wash-care labels, which means we can guarantee that you can use our name labels as clothing labels if you apply them onto wash-care labels.
We cannot test all of the different material blends, which means we cannot offer the same guarantee if you apply your labels directly onto the fabric of clothing. Stikins ® labels do bond well with some materials – we simply cannot guarantee that they will do so for all material blends – and this is why we recommend applying your name labels onto the wash-care label only.
Are Stick On Clothes Labels Better Than Sew-In Name Tapes And Iron-On Name Tags?
We (and our customers) think so! Sewing in name tapes has been a long standing tradition for parents (and grandparents) but there is no denying that it takes AGES – and that’s if you know your way around a needle and thread. For many, the prospect of having to sew in labels is an absolute nightmare to be avoided at all costs. Iron on name tags are supposed to offer an easier alternative BUT still require time, care, and concentration (not to mention a hot iron) to apply properly – often with mixed results.
This is where stick on clothes labels come into their own. You peel them off the backing sheet and stick them down. No needles. No irons. No sewing. No ironing. No problem.

How Long Have Stikins ® Labels Been Used As Clothes Labels?
Our managing director has four children and quickly discovered that the labelling products available at the time simply weren’t up to the job. He used his background in the labelling industry to come up with a suitable alternative and our “Original” product launched in 2004. Since then we’ve continued to research and test new materials and manufacturing methods, leading to a steady release of new and improved versions – allowing us to ensure that your labels continue to simply stick on and stay on.
What Size Are Stikins ® Name Labels?
Our labels measure 30mm x 15mm - the perfect size for clothes labels! They fit neatly and discretely onto items of all shapes and sizes – especially wash-care labels in clothing. Our labels are easy to read at a glance but don’t take up too much space or draw attention to themselves the rest of the time.
What Colours Are Available?
Stikins ® name labels are white labels printed with a bold black font. This combination is the clearest and ensures that your name labels are as easy to read as possible.
What Font Size Do You Use?
We adjust the font size depending on how many characters you request. Our system automatically selects the largest possible font size that will allow your personalisation to fit onto your labels. Our online order form includes a print preview to give you an idea of what your clothes labels will look like.
How Much Are Stikins ® Labels?
We offer four pack sizes. Buy 30 for £9.00; 60 for £12.00; 90 for £15.00; or 120 for £18.
Each pack comes in a plastic bag, which provides protection for your labels during storage and is also pre-printed with our instructions for use so they're always on hand when you need them.
When Will My Name Labels Be Delivered?
We print and post name labels every day, Monday to Friday (up to 3pm), so every order is despatched on the same or next working day. Standard delivery uses Royal Mail’s first class service. Currently around 75% of first class post arrives next day so we advise that orders may take up to seven working days to arrive.
Our super fast despatch and delivery is available all year round – even during the back to school rush.

Stikins name labels are absolutely brilliant. They stick really well and last through countless washes without peeling or fading. We use them on school clothes, shoes, lunch boxes, water bottles, and sports kit, and they never come off unless you want them to. They’re a real time-saver and look neat and clear on everything. Clothes, water bottles of course, but also ... swimming towel? - yes; fork to live in the lunchbox? - yes!; ... extra pair of wool socks to put on when it's below zero and they are told to play outside in PE shoes? YES. keys, watch, gloves. You name it, they stick to (almost) anything and STAY THERE. Lost items since starting using stikinses? Zero. Or rather, still plenty but now they quickly reappear in the lost and found box. It's only a matter of picking them up from there.

I have ordered a number of times now and every time has been excellent. Stickers are dispatched rapidly, often I receive them the day after I ordered them. They are excellent quality and last as long as needed on clothing and belongings, rarely needing to be replaced. When the items are no longer needed the labels are easy to remove, there’s usually a little glue residue which removes easily with sticky stuff remover before washing
