Helpful Name Labels For Residential, Nursing, & Care Home Facilities

The second most popular use for Stikins ® name labels is in care facilities, like nursing homes and residential care facilities. Here, our name labels give extra peace of mind to residents, family, and staff by ensuring that residents’ personal belongings are all safely, securely, and clearly labelled.

Care Home Name Labels That Are Simple, Easy, & Reliable

When individuals move into care facilities, they take a number of belongings with them. Items like clothing, bedding, and linens will regularly be put through shared cleaning facilities. Other items, like photographs and mementoes, will be of significant value to their owners and may be taken into shared communal spaces.

In shared spaces, it is all too easy for items to get mixed up, go missing, or get separated from their owners. Members of staff often lose precious time dealing with lost property, which also has an upsetting effect on residents and their families.

The simplest way to avoid the problem of lost property is to label personal belongings. Stick on name labels make the task a thoroughly simple one.

Stikins ® labels are small, thin labels with a unique adhesive. They are suitable for labelling clothing and fabric items, along with other personal items of value. Our labels have been independently tested for 60 washes at 40 degrees and simply stick on and stay on. So there's no sewing and no ironing required!

Each label is bright white in colour. We print them with a bold, black font so it is quick and easy for anyone to read the label. Our materials are strong and durable, which allows your name labels to remain firmly in place. They're also soft and pliable, which means that labelled items of clothing won’t cause irritation when worn. It also makes them really effective at sticking to different types of surfaces.

How To Apply Stick On Name Labels

Stikins ® name labels are extremely quick and simple to use. They can be applied in seconds by staff, family, or residents.

To label fabric items, apply your name labels onto the wash-care label. For items of footwear, apply your labels onto the side wall or beneath the tongue. You should not apply them directly beneath the heel because the print will be worn away when the shoes are worn. For all other items, simply stick a label directly onto each item.

Make sure that each item is clean and dry before labelling. Remove a label from the backing sheet – taking care not to touch the adhesive too much. Apply it onto your item and use your thumb to firmly smooth the label down to ensure a good adhesive bond.

Do not wash labelled clothing for 24 hours as this will allow the adhesive enough time to strengthen and set. Do not iron directly over your labels as they will melt.
