Equinox comes from the Latin aequinoctium, which is made up of aequus (equal) and nox (night). During an equinox, the sun appears directly over the equator, which makes night and day (roughly) equal. There are two equinoxes every year in March and September. In the Northern hemisphere, we call the March equinox the Vernal (Spring) Equinox and the September Equinox the Autumnal (Autumn) Equinox. They are the other way around in the Southern Hemisphere.

Stikins® are brilliant clothes name labels. We make Stikins® with a unique adhesive, which means they simply stick on and stay on. Remove a label from its backing sheet and apply firmly onto the wash-care label of your item of clothing – job done. You can then put labelled items through the washing machine and the tumble-dryer.

In shoes, you should apply your name labels onto the side wall or beneath the tongue. For all other items, like umbrellas or travel mugs, simply apply firmly onto the item. Labelled items are also safe to put through the dishwasher and microwave.

Our bright white labels measure just 30mm by 15mm high, which makes them a neat but discrete addition to your family’s belongings. We personalise your labels with a bold, black font so they are really clear and easy to read – for kids and adults of all ages. This means your family can quickly check that they've picked up their own belongings as well as making it easy for lost items to be returned.

You can have one or two lines of text with up to 18 characters per line (including spaces). In closed environments, like school or work, a simple name lets people know who owns an item. If your belongings are likely to travel further afield, you can add a phone number (or short email) so items can be returned no matter where they go missing.

We make Stikins® using a super thin, super flexible, and super soft material. This makes our name labels gentle against skin when labelled items are worn.

Please note that Stikins® are not suitable for fabric items without a wash-care label, especially stretchy items like socks. If you apply Stikins onto socks (as some do), they will peel away over time.

We’ll be printing and posting up to 3pm every day throughout autumn and winter (Mon-Fri). This means we'll post your order on the same or next working day. We use Royal Mail’s first class service, which usually arrives next day (but can take up to seven working days).
