We’ve been inspired by World Space Week and its theme of Entrepreneurship. So, we’re celebrating some of the amazing systems used for space exploration. Plus, we take a look back at the entrepreneurship behind our stick on name labels.

Celebrating Names That Have Explored Space

The Entrepreneurial Origins Of Stikins ® Name Labels

Our managing director created Stikins ® name labels after struggling to find name labels for his children. He was frustrated with existing products, which were mostly sew-in or iron-on products that were tricky and time-consuming to apply. Our managing director wanted a simpler solution that would simplify name labelling for busy families.

He used his connections in the labelling industry to develop our original product. This set featured H-shaped clothing labels, along with smaller stickers for shoes and miscellaneous items. He named his name labels for their ability to just “stick in”(or Stik-in) and stay in.

Since then, we have continued to develop our stick on name labels. We’ve sourced new materials and manufacturing methods to make sure our name labels continue to just stick in and stay in. In 2010, we introduced our “New” name labels, which featured a new shape and size (30mm x 15mm wide) that we use to this day. We’ve introduced a new printing ribbon (to avoid damage from sun cream) and developed our unique adhesive, which we introduced in 2017.

We’re continuing our research and development so our name labels will keep labelling your family’s kit quickly and easily.
