Schools – Last Chance To Double Your Commission For 2015/16!

Tuesday, September 27th, 2016

Friday is the 30th September and the last day in our current commission year, which means that soon we’ll be getting to work adding up all of the commission that our school & PTA fundraising partners have earned this year and preparing to send out those all-important cheques.

It also means that this is your last chance to double the commission that you earn for this commission year!

All of our fundraising partners earn a basic rate of 15% commission on any sale of name labels that we receive where their unique fundraising number has been quoted. To qualify for our higher rate of commission – at a fantastic 30% – all you need to do is add a link to your school or PTA site.

REASONS TO ADD A LINK

  1. Boost your commission rate to 30%.
Not only will you be moved onto our higher rate of commission but we will also backdate this rate to include any commission that you have earned so far during the current commission year (1st October 2015 – 30th September 2016). Plus, as long as the link remains active, you will remain on the higher rate of commission year after year – with absolutely no need to remember to renew or reactivate your higher rate of commission.
  1. Boost the total amount of commission you earn each year.
Adding a link is one of the easiest and most effective ways to boost the amount of commission that you receive from our fundraising scheme; the link makes it extremely easy for parents to order from us (they simply click on the link to instantly be directed to our site) AND you can create a link that will automatically add your fundraising number to any order that is placed by following the link (so even if parents forget which fundraising number to use or simply forget to add a fundraising number altogether, their order will still count towards your fundraising total).

HOW TO ADD A LINK
Full instructions can be found on our “Linking Your Site To Us” page; your have a choice of adding a simple text link or a full colour banner that will really stand out.

If you want to add a simple text link, you text should be embodied with a URL as follows:
https://www.stikins.co.uk/?PARTNER=12345
(where the “12345” is replaced with your unique fundraising number)

To add a banner link, you can use our HTML Code Generator; simply select the size of banner you would prefer to use and our website will generate the HTML code that you need to add to your website to create the banner.

You may also want to include a few sentences along with your link to help promote the use of name labels AND boost your fundraising efforts; for example, you may want to explain how name labels can help to reduce the amount of Lost Property that parents and staff have to deal with, explain how buying name labels from us can help to raise money for the school, or perhaps even provide parents with a bit of information about the fundraising projects that will be supported by the commission earned on orders of name labels.

You can add your link to whatever part of your site you like; most of our school and PTA partners will usually add their link to the home page, uniform page, parent page, useful links page, or fundraising page (or some combination of these).

If you’re not yet a member of our fundraising scheme, then head on over to our Fundraising Section, which includes information about how our scheme works, a registration page, and plenty of (completely free!) helpful extras to help you promote the scheme to parents.

Remember, if you want to receive our 30% rate of commission you must have a WORKING link on your site AND you have to let us know about it! Once you’ve added a link, get in touch with our Customer Service Team OR fill in the Commission Claim Form at the bottom of our “Linking Your Site To Us” page – we’ll confirm that your link is up and working and then upgrade your school to our top rate of commission.

If you’ve already got a link or if you aren’t sure what level of commission your school is currently earning, simply get in touch and we can confirm if your school is set up on our basic or our boosted rate of commission.

Schools – Double Your Commission Rate Before Our Fundraising Year Comes To A Close!

Thursday, September 15th, 2016

If you are signed up to our Fundraising Scheme, now is the perfect time to make sure that you’ve qualified for our top rate of commission – before the current commission year finishes at the end of September.

All schools and PTAs who sign up with us will automatically qualify for our basic rate of commission, which is 15%; to double this to 30% all you need to do is a link to your school or PTA website to our site!

Adding a link to your school or PTA site is a really quick and easy way to let parents know about the all-important fundraising number that they need to quote when they order their name labels AND can help to boost the total commission that you earn – firstly by moving your school onto our higher rate of commission, secondly by making it really easy for parents to navigate to our site, and thirdly by automatically filling in your fundraising number when parents follow the link to place an order (which means the order will still count towards your commission total even if they completely forget to quote a fundraising number!).

If you haven’t already added a link, don’t worry, it isn’t too late to do so!

As long as you have a working link on your site by the end of September (AND you’ve let us know about it), we will upgrade your school to the higher rate of commission and backdate this rate so that it applies to any commission that you’ve already earned during the current commission year (between 1st October 2015 – 30th September 2016).

Visit our “Linking Your Site To Us” page for advice on how to add a link to your site OR to let us know that you’ve added a link and you want your 30%! Alternatively, you can get in touch with our Customer Service Team directly using any of the contact information on our Contact Us page.

Put An End To Your Mountain Of Lost Property With School Name Labels From Label Planet

Tuesday, June 21st, 2016

One of the most common comments we receive from schools is how happy they are that they have less Lost Property to deal with once parents start using name label products.

While having to pay to replace lost items is a sore point for any parent (who most likely only purchased those items recently), Lost Property is a far bigger problem for schools, who have to waste time and resources dealing with the mountain of items that get lost around the school grounds. From finding a place to stash all those items to taking the time to put together “Lost Property Events” to (hopefully) reunite some items with their owners, dealing with Lost Property means teachers and members of staff are forced to waste precious time dealing with the fallout of an entirely preventable problem (instead of getting on with more important things). The entire process is made more problematic by the fact that most school uniform and equipment is entirely similar, if not identical, in appearance, which often means that children are reluctant to take items home from Lost Property on the off-chance that they’re actually taking somebody else’s stuff.

Name labels are a quick and simple solution to this problem and here at Label Planet we provide parents with TWO different name label products to help them get ALL of their children’s belongings safely and securely labelled. Stikins ® are stick on name labels that are extremely quick and easy to apply and can be used to label pretty much ANY item of school uniform or equipment, while our Trons ® name transfers create a completely permanent name label on any fabric item.

Whether your school considers name labels to be a “recommended” or a “required” part of pupils’ school equipment, encouraging parents to use name labels is an easy way to cut down on the time and resources you waste dealing with Lost Property. At Label Planet, we also offer schools the chance to earn commission on orders of name labels placed by parents, with those funds being available for you to put towards any ongoing fundraising projects the school is pursuing. As part of this commission scheme, we also provide schools with free materials to distribute to parents, to help boost the number of parents who make the decision to use name labels (and so boost the number of children who arrive at school with all of their stuff labelled).

You can find out more about our name label products by visiting our Stikins ® Information Page and our Trons ® Information Page, or take a look through our Fundraising Pages to find out more about how our Fundraising Scheme works (or to sign up!).

Schools – Have You Requested Your Free Stikins ® Samples Yet?

Thursday, June 9th, 2016

This year, we’re offering schools the chance to receive five free Stikins ® samples for their new intake, with schools who have added a link to their website being eligible to request free samples for the ENTIRE school AND their new intake.

This offer is only available during May and June so time is running out to request your free samples (if you haven’t already done so). Don’t worry if you don’t think you have time – it’s extremely quick and simple to request your samples and we get them printed and packed individually so they’re really easy to distribute quickly before the end of term.

You can request your samples by filling in our simple Online School Request Form or by getting in touch with our Customer Service Team. Simply let us know that you want to request your free samples and then send us an Excel spreadsheet with the names you need printing (please enter the first names in the first column and the surnames in the second column; if you are requesting samples for the whole school you can add the class or year groups in a third column and we’ll make sure your labels are packed into these groups for you).

We will only use this list for the purpose of printing your samples; as soon as your labels have been printed, the list will be completely deleted from our systems.

If your school is unable to release pupils’ names due to your school’s data or privacy policy, simply let us know how many samples you need and we’ll create a set of free samples that are printed with the school name only.

Sending out these samples is a wonderfully easy way to show parents exactly how easy it is to get into the habit of using name labels and how well they work when it comes to making sure that all of their children’s belongings make it home safe and sound – which reduces the amount of time and resources you have to waste on Lost Property and allows parents to avoid having to pay to replace items that are probably only a few months (or days!) old.

To request your free sample, please visit our School Request page or contact our Customer Service Team by phone or email.

Schools – Beat The Summer Rush & Request Your Parent Leaflets Now!

Thursday, May 26th, 2016

With the summer term rushing by, schools will be heaving with end of year activities and many will be looking forward to the summer holidays with glee.

While it might be tempting to put off thoughts of the approach of September and a whole new academic year, it’s the perfect time to put in a bit of forward planning to make the most of the summer name label rush and take advantage of the “Back-To-School” opportunity.

Summer is our busiest time of the year as parents stock up on name labels in preparation for the new school year; schools who have joined our commission scheme can improve the amount of commission they earn this year by ensuring that parents know about our name labels AND the fundraising number they need to quote when they order. Of course, that means that you need to make parents aware of the scheme NOW – before you break up for summer.

We provide parent leaflets to our school and PTA partners to help them inform parents about the Stikins ® commission scheme completely free of charge; all you have to do is let us know how many you need. Schools can request leaflets for their new intake only or request enough to hand out to the entire school. Handing out these leaflets at the end of term is a quick and easy way to make sure parents have the information they need to hand when they come to place their orders over the summer break (and provide a reminder of the Fundraising Number they need to quote).

To request your leaflets, simply fill in our online School Request Form or contact our Customer Service Team.

Schools – Reasons To Be Cheerful (& Join The Stikins ® Fundraising Scheme)

Tuesday, May 24th, 2016

Fundraising is an important activity for schools and PTAs and we know that most schools and PTAs are already juggling a multitude of different schemes and projects – which doesn’t leave much time and/or money to spend researching and implementing new fundraising opportunities.

Which is why we’ve designed our commission scheme to be as simple as possible to register and participate.

In fact, we do most of the work on your behalf; all you need to do is decide how much time you want to spend promoting the scheme to parents. Our scheme is completely free to join and run and our one step registration process gives you access to fundraising that will run all year round – leaving you free to spend time on other projects.

What you need to do:

  • Decide To Join!
If you’re not sure if our commission scheme is right for you, we’ve put together an information pack that explains exactly how it all works (along with a few samples for you to take a look at). We’ve created a Fundraising Guide and PowerPoint Presentation for you to use if you need to present this fundraising opportunity to (and get the approval of) a school board or PTA group. You can also get in touch with our Customer Service Team if you have any questions or queries about how it works.
  • Register!
Simply fill in our one-step Registration Form and we will allocate your school or PTA with a unique fundraising number.
  • Let Parents Know!
You will earn commission on all orders we receive where your fundraising number is quoted so all you need to do is make sure that parents know the right number to quote when they order. It’s up to you how much time and resources you put into this BUT we do offer a number of (completely free) resources to help you get started:

REQUEST PARENT LEAFLETS: these leaflets are a quick and simple way to let parents know about name labels AND the fundraising opportunity they provide AND give them the all-important fundraising number they need to use.

Simply get in touch or fill in our Request Leaflets Form online to request as many leaflets as you need.

WRITE A LETTER TO PARENTS: you may also wish to send out a letter (or email) to let parents know about how the scheme works, about how useful name labels can be in fighting the problem of Lost Property, and/or to let them know about the projects that will be supported by the commission they help to generate.

We have example letters on our website written by existing members of our commission scheme, which you can use as a starting point or guide for creating your own.

ADD A LINK ON YOUR WEBSITE: adding a link on your school or PTA website is a great way to make parents aware of name labels and the chance to earn commission for the school AND make it even easier for parents to place an order. They simply follow the link directly from your site to ours and it is possible to set up a link that will automatically add your fundraising number to the orders that parents place by following the link – so you’ll always earn commission on those orders even if parents forget to enter the number themselves. We have a guide to adding this link on our “Linking Your Site To Us” page along with a form you can use to let us know that you’ve added your link.
When you add a link to your website, we also DOUBLE THE COMMISSION RATE you earn from 15% to 30%!

What we do:

  • Assign You A Fundraising Number
Once you’ve filled in our Registration Form, we’ll get you set up on our system and send you your Fundraising Number.
  • Process Orders & Provide Customer Service
Parents place their orders directly with us and we handle everything to do with processing and despatching orders and providing customer support and service as required.
  • Provide Free Resources To Help You Boost The Amount Of Commission You Earn
We’ve created a range of free resources to help you promote this fundraising scheme to parents, which can be found on our “Really Useful Downloads” page. You can also use our “School Request” page to request Parent Leaflets or to take advantage of our Stikins ® Sample Offer (available in May & June only).
  • Track Your Commission Earnings Throughout The Commission Year
We keep track of all the orders received where your Fundraising Number has been quoted; we also provide a Tracking Service so you can keep an eye on how much commission you’ve earned so far.
  • Send Out A Commission Cheque In October
Our commission year runs from 1st October to 30th September and we send out cheques once a year in October.

You can find all of our fundraising information and resources by visiting our site, clicking on the purple “Fundraising” button on the left hand side and selecting the links you need.

School FAQ – The Whys & Hows Of Adding A Link To Your Website

Tuesday, May 17th, 2016

As part of our commission scheme, we offer schools the opportunity to boost their rate of commission to 30% simply by adding a link on the school or PTA website to our website – www.stikins.co.uk.

These links produce a variety of benefits for our school and PTA partners, so we thought it was high time we wrote an FAQ special all about why and how to add this link.

WHY SHOULD WE ADD A LINK?
These links benefit both the school/PTA and parents who need to order name labels for their children’s belongings.

In addition to doubling your commission rate, adding a link to your website makes it extremely quick and easy for parents to order name labels. They don’t need to search for or navigate to our website themselves – they simply visit our site directly from yours – which will boost the number of parents who order name labels in this way.

More parents ordering will increase the amount of commission you earn AND has the added benefit of increasing the numbers of pupils who have their belongings labelled, which will benefit the school by reducing the amount of lost property you have to deal with.

You can also increase the likelihood of parents ordering name labels by thinking carefully about where on your site you add a link. For example, if your website has a school uniform page then parents will be more likely to buy name labels because they are ordering new items of school uniform (and don’t fancy having to replace them in a few weeks because they’ve gone missing) OR, if you have your link on a PTA fundraising page, parents may be more likely to place an order because they know about the projects that they will be helping to support.

Another benefit is the fact that you can create a link that will AUTOMATICALLY add your fundraising number to the order that parents place using your link; this means that even if a parent completely forgets about adding the number or simply can’t remember what the right number is, the order will still count towards your commission total.

HOW DO WE ADD A LINK?
Adding a link to the school or PTA website is something that your webmaster will be able to do quickly and simply. However, we like to make sure that our commission scheme really is as simple as possible to run, which is why we’ve created a page on our site called “Linking Your Site To Us” to explain exactly how you can add a link to your website.

There are two types of links that you can choose to add:
Banner Links: this kind of link is an image that parents click on to visit our site.
We have included a Code Generator on our site to create the HTML code required to add this to your site – all you need to do is enter your School Fundraising Number and select the type of image you prefer (we offer four different sizes so you can choose one that will fit neatly onto your site); this code can then be copied and pasted to add the banner link to the page (or pages) of your choice.

Text Links: this kind of link is a line of text embedded with a hyperlink that parents click on to visit our site.
The hyperlink text takes the following form: https://www.stikins.co.uk/?PARTNER=12345 (where the 12345 is replaced with your unique fundraising number).

Both of these types of links will automatically add your fundraising number to the order placed when a parent uses your link to reach our website.

HOW DO WE CLAIM OUR 30% COMMISSION?
Simply fill in the form at the bottom of our “Linking Your Site To Us” page!

We will verify that your link is up and working correctly and then update your rate of commission from 15% to 30%. We’ll also backdate this higher rate of commission so ALL orders placed quoting your fundraising number during the current commission year (even if you add your link right before the commission year is due to end) will earn the top rate of commission.

During May and June this year, you’ll also be able to request free samples of our Stikins ® name labels for your ENTIRE school if you have a link on your school or PTA website.

To get started with adding a link to your site simply visit our “Linking Your Site To Us” page; if you have any questions about adding a link or if you have any issues adding your link, please contact our Customer Service Team for help.

Schools – Find Out More About Fundraising With Stikins ® In Our Fundraising Guide

Thursday, May 12th, 2016

If your school or PTA isn’t sure about whether or not our fundraising scheme is the right opportunity for them, we highly recommend taking a look through our Fundraising Guide.

Last year, we spent some time researching and reviewing the results that our existing school partners were getting from their participation in our commission scheme and we used our findings to put together a Fundraising Guide to help newcomers understand exactly how easy it is to take part.

We’ve recently revised our Fundraising Guide to bring it bang up to date for 2016 and it’s a great resource to find out exactly how our scheme works and how it can benefit your school and/or PTA. The guide features information about how our commission scheme works, about our name label products, and tips and advice for getting the best possible results from your participation.

  1. Quick Overview: a brief outline of who we are and the fundraising opportunity that we offer.
  2. Reasons To Be Cheerful: a shortlist of the benefits of joining our commission scheme.
  3. Getting Started: the THREE steps you need to follow to get registered, along with information about how we will keep you up to date on the commission you have earned and how/when you will receive your commission.
  4. Letting People In School Know: we’ve found that our more successful partners tend to be those who have gotten everyone on board; we’ve put together some information about our scheme for all of those involved (including Head Teachers, PTA Members, and Teachers).
  5. Product Information: this section gives you information about our name labels including what they look like, how they work, pack and pricing information, despatch and delivery information, ordering details, and the contents sent out with each order.
  6. Commission Booster Plan: a large part of our investigation last year was to find out why (and how) some schools were achieving higher commission totals than others. We’ve taken the experiences of our existing partners and used them to create a selection of helpful tips to help new and existing members of our commission scheme get the very best results from their fundraising efforts including; “6 Small Things That Make A Huge Difference”, how to take advantage of the “Back-To-School Opportunity”, and our top tips for “Avoiding Catastrophic Failure!”.
  7. Useful Links and Contacts: we’ve put together a special “Fundraising” section on our website, which contains all of our information and resources for schools and PTAs who want to join our commission scheme. We’re also happy to talk to schools and PTAs to discuss any questions or queries they may have about joining and participating in our commission scheme.

You can find our Fundraising Guide online on our Really Useful Downloads page. Alternatively, visit our School Requests page or contact our customer service team to request a Fundraising Information Pack; each pack contains a copy of our Fundraising Guide along with samples of our name labels, parent leaflets, and A4 posters.

It’s Now Even EASIER To Register Your School & Request Helpful Extras To Fundraise With Stikins ®

Tuesday, May 10th, 2016

We’ve always aimed to provide products and services that make life easier – for parents AND school staff members alike.

Our name labels are designed to be as quick and easy to use as possible so parents can get on with the more important (and fun) things in life, while our fundraising scheme is designed to be as simple and fuss-free as possible so school staff and PTA members can raise money for the school without needing to give up a whole chunk of their precious time and resources.

With this aim in mind, we’ve implemented a few small changes to the Schools Section of our website to make it easier for schools and PTAs to find and/or request the resources they need.

Our Schools Section is now simply called “Fundraising”; all of our information and free resources for schools and PTAs can be found here. Simply click on the purple “Fundraising” button on the left hand side of our site and choose from the links in the drop down list.

We’ve also simplified the way schools and PTAs request information and resources (and register) on our website. We’ve set up one easy-to-use “Requests Form”, which schools and PTAs can use to do ANY of the following:

  • Request Fundraising Information
To find out more about our fundraising scheme and our name labels, you can use this option to request a Fundraising Information Pack to help you decide if you would like to join. The pack contains a copy of our Fundraising Guide (containing information about our products, how the scheme works, and our “Commission Booster Plan” full of tips and advice) along with samples of our name labels, parent leaflets, and A4 posters.
  • Register Our School / PTA
Use this option to join our commission scheme and receive the all-important unique fundraising number that parents will use to earn commission for your school and/or PTA each time they order name labels from us.
  • Request Parent Leaflets
We provide our fundraising partners with parent leaflets completely free of charge; these leaflets are a simple way to make parents aware of name labels as a useful tool to reduce lost property and raise money for the school. You can request leaflets for a single class only (e.g. new intake), ask for a few spares to keep in the office or school shop, or request enough leaflets for the entire school.
  • Request Free Samples
During May and June, we are offering schools the chance to request free printed samples of our Stikins ® name labels to hand out to the new intake in preparation for the new school year. We’ve found that parents are much more likely to actually use name labels when they are able to see for themselves how easy they are to use and how well they work.

We’re also happy to talk directly to schools and PTAs to discuss any questions or queries you might have; simply contact our Customer Service Team by phone or by email and we’ll do our best to help.

Presenting The Return Of Our Free Name Label Sample Offer For The New Intake Of 2016

Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016

We’ve had great feedback from schools who’ve found that parents are much more enthusiastic about using name labels once they’ve been able to see and try them for themselves – which benefits the school by both increasing the amount of school uniform and equipment that is securely labelled (reducing the amount of Lost Property that they have to deal with) AND increasing the amount of commission they receive.

This year, we will be producing free samples for schools during May and June in preparation for the new intake who will be arriving in September.

You can request your free samples either by filling in our new online Request Form or sending us an email.

Simply provide us with your school details along with the names of your new intake (we recommend sending an Excel spreadsheet with the first names in the first column and the surnames in the second column) and we will get your samples printed, packed, and delivered to the school directly.

Each pupil will receive FIVE Stikins ® labels printed with their name and individually packed with a set of Instructions For Use and a parent leaflet with information about how to place an order.

If you are an existing member of our commission scheme and have a link set up on your school or PTA website to our website then you can choose to request free samples for the entire school; simply include all of the names in your spreadsheet and we will produce free Stikins ® samples for all of your pupils – if you include class groups in your spreadsheet, we will pack your samples by classes so they’re easier to hand out.

The spreadsheet of names will be used only for the purposes of personalising the samples and will be completely deleted from our system as soon as the samples have been printed and packed.

If you have any problems with requesting personalised samples due to your school’s data privacy policy, we are more than happy to send out generic samples that are printed with the school name or class names only.

If you wish, you can handout your samples with a covering letter from the school, explaining a bit more about the benefits of using name labels, how these name labels can raise money for the school, and perhaps even a bit of detail about the specific projects that will be supported by the commission you earn (to raise awareness of and support for these projects to help you reach your targets that much faster!). We have a number of example letters on our website, which you can use as a starting point or guide for your own letter.

To request your free samples, simply visit the Fundraising Section of our website and select the “School Request” page.
