Find Out What Stikins ® & Trons ® Are Really Like – Reviews By You

Thursday, February 26th, 2015

Obviously, we want to promote our name labels as the BEST THING EVER – just like everyone else.

So how can you find out what Stikins ® and Trons ® are REALLY like – and if they’re the name label products for you?

The best people to ask are those who use our products, all day and every day; the individuals who have bought these labels for their children, for relatives, or for themselves.

We’ve received nearly 1,000 reviews from our customers to help you make up your mind – so you don’t have to simply take our word for what these labels are like.

And, we’ve had some fantastic responses from customers who have left not only an honest review of our name labels but also hints and tips for fellow customers to help them get the very best out of their labels.

To take a look through the reviews left by our lovely customers, you can either click on the red Verified Reviews box on the left hand side of our website or scroll through the most recent reviews by hovering over the “floating widget” on the right hand side, helpfully labelled as “Reviews”.

The Little Extras That Make Name Labels Extra Useful

Wednesday, February 25th, 2015

Name labels have a number of obvious benefits; they reduce the risk of items going missing and help identify exactly what belongs to whom, but here’s a few extra benefits that might come in useful.

  • HELPING YOUR CHILD AS THEY LEARN TO READ
For younger children, having name labels in their clothes, on their shoes, and on personal items can help them recognise their own name as they learn to read.
  • HELPING YOUR CHILD LEARN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LEFT AND RIGHT
Labels can be printed with “Left” and “Right” (or any signifier of your choice) and applied to items with both a left and a right (for example, shoes and gloves). If your child has trouble learning the difference between their left and their right, name labels are a simple and fun way to gently remind them of the difference each time they put on (or indeed take off) these items.
  • HELPING YOUR CHILD LEARN ABOUT BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN BELONGINGS
Adding a name label provides you with an opportunity to teach your child the importance of looking after their belongings. If your child knows that their belongings have been labelled, they will have to take responsibility for making sure that they always collect their own things from school – instead of simply grabbing the nearest article of clothing or bag and assuming that it is theirs.
  • HELPING YOUR CHILD STAY SAFE
It’s a nightmare that parents dread; you go out somewhere and become separated from your child. It’s a difficult and frightening situation for all involved but name labels can help your child to react accordingly; adding your contact information (such as a mobile number) to their name labels means that this information is always with your child – whether they use it themselves or have it to hand when an adult asks them for it. While name labels are primarily there to help reunite clothing and items with their owners, they can also help make sure that your child (or an adult acting on their behalf) can get in touch with you should they get lost.
You can also use name labels to list important medical or allergy information. Adding this information to your child’s clothing or to items such as lunch boxes and medical supplies can act like an additional medical alert that authorities or people providing assistance can refer to should an emergency arise.

FAQ Special – Prices & Payments

Thursday, February 19th, 2015

It’s been a while since our last FAQ special so we thought it was high time we did another! And seeing as it’s the start of a brand new year and everyone (and their wallets) are recovering from the indulgence (and overindulgence) of Christmas and the New Year, we thought a good topic would be all things related to prices and payments.

We’ve tried to make things as simple and straightforward as possible, so you can order your name labels when and how you please. We provide customers with a variety of ways to order and pay for their labels, so we’ve hopefully got an option to suit everyone.

Where can I find your prices?
Our prices are listed on our website and on our Information Leaflets.
Standard packs are priced as follows:
N30 / T35: £6.00
N60 / T70: £8.50
N90 / T105: £10.50
N120 / T140: £12.50
Combination packs are priced as follows:
NT65 (N30 + T35): £8.50
NT130 (N60 + T70): £12.50
NT195 (N90 + T105): £16.00
NT260 (N120 + T140): £19.00
[While we always keep our Information Leaflets fully up to date, we are aware that some schools and customers may have old copies of leaflets with out of date prices. Please check the website for current prices as we cannot honour out of date pricing information.]

What do your prices include?
Our prices include VAT and standard UK delivery.
Standard UK delivery is via Royal Mail’s first class service.

Do I have to pay extra for anything?
Only if you wish to upgrade your shipping or have your order delivered outside of the UK.
If you order by phone, you may request a Guaranteed Next Working Day delivery option.
If you order items to be shipped outside of the UK, postage will be charged at £1.50 per item.

Are you running any discounts or offers?
Not at the moment. Any discounts or offers will be announced via our blog, Facebook and Twitter pages, or via email to existing customers.

I need sets for my X number of children. Can I have a discount?
No. Currently we do not offer any multipack discounts. For customers with multiple children, you may either purchase a pack (or packs) for each child or you may purchase a pack (or packs) to be shared between your children.
Please note that we cannot print different names within a single pack; each label within a pack is printed with the same information. However, we are more than happy for customers to include more than one name per label or to use a family name only in order to share the labels between children.

What’s the most cost effective pack to order?
Our largest packs offer the best cost per label prices; N120, T140, or NT260.
If you keep your labels in their original packaging and store them safely in a dry place at room temperature, you can use up as many labels as you need at the current time and then save the rest for future use. When stored appropriately, our name labels retain their quality and efficiency for two (STIKINS ® name labels) or five (TRONS ® name transfers) years.

Do I have to order through the website?
No. You can also place your order over the phone or by post.

What are my payment options?
We provide a variety of payment options, depending on how you order.
ONLINE ORDERS: payment by PayPal or debit/credit card
PHONE ORDERS: payment by debit/credit card
[Please note that we do not accept American Express]
POSTAL ORDERS: payment by cheque or postal order

If you wish, you may also pay by BACS, however, you will need to contact us with the details of your order so we can issue you with a Proforma Invoice against which you can make payment.

I work for a school/nursery/organisation. Can I get a discount?
While we don’t offer discounts to schools and other organisations, we do run a commission scheme, which allows schools, nurseries and other organisations to earn commission on sales of STIKINS ® name labels and TRONS ® name transfers where their unique code is quoted.
Any time a parent, guardian, or member affiliated with a particular school, nursery or group orders from us and quotes that organisation’s unique code, their order will generate up to 25% commission for their nominated group.
To find out more about our commission scheme, please take a read through our Fundraising Information page.

I work for a nursing/residential care facility. Can I get a discount?
Yes. We are happy to offer a 10% discount to nursing home and residential care facilities when they order directly from us. To receive your discount, simply get in touch and let us know the items you would like to order so we can process the discount for you.

We are also happy for these facilities to join our commission scheme (as mentioned above). You would be allotted a unique code to allow you to earn commission on any orders placed by residents or relatives/friends ordering on behalf of residents.
To find out more, please read our Fundraising Information page.

Hopefully, if you had a question about prices and payments, we’ve answered it here but if we haven’t, please feel free to get in touch.

FAQ – Do I Have To Order Online?

Monday, February 16th, 2015

We know that people like to order in different ways and that what’s convenient for one person isn’t necessarily convenient for another. With this in mind, we are happy to announce that we can accept orders in a number of different ways, so all you need to do is pick the one that suits you best:

BY POST
Simply fill in our Order Form and post it to us along with a cheque or postal order for payment.
Order Forms are included with each order, are available to download from our website, and are also provided to schools who sign up to our commission scheme.

BY PHONE
Call us on 01270 668076 with the details of your order and a debit/credit card for payment.
[Please note that we do not accept American Express.]

BY EMAIL
If you are requesting a bulk order on behalf of an organisation, you can place your order by email (info@labelplanet.co.uk). Get in touch with us by phone or email first to discuss your requirements and then send us the details of your order by email. We can accept payment over the phone by debit/credit card or issue you with a Proforma Invoice against which you can make payment.

Of course, if you’re happy to order online, then please visit www.stikins.co.uk to get started.

FAQ – How Long Will It Take For My Order To Arrive?

Thursday, February 12th, 2015

All of our UK orders are despatched via Royal Mail’s first class service as standard. We find that around 93% of post sent by this service does arrive the next day, with the rest taking a day or two extra. As this is NOT a guaranteed next day service, we do offer a next day shipping option, which customers can request by phone.

We also ship to a limited number of countries outside of the UK; standard delivery is by Royal Mail’s International Standard service. They aim to deliver items sent by this service to Western Europe in 3-5 working days and to the Rest of the World in 5-7 working days.

Throughout the year we work to a set level of production, to ensure that all of our customers receive their name labels on time and don’t end up applying their labels in a rush.

Our current production level is three working days, which means that we make and despatch all orders within three working days of receiving an order, with production running on Tuesdays and Fridays.

To find out more about our despatch and delivery times, and the countries that we ship to, please visit our Delivery Information page.

A Helping Hand with Raising Funds for all Schools, Groups, and Organisations

Monday, February 9th, 2015

Our commission scheme is designed to make it as easy as possible for schools, groups, and organisations to raise funds for whatever projects and goals they are working towards.

Signing up to earn commission with Label Planet is simple and quick to do – and once you’ve signed up, it’s entirely up to you how much time you spend promoting the commission scheme.

We’ve come up with a few helpful extras to help you maximise the funds you raise, with only the minimal amount of time required:

  • Free leaflets to distribute to parents
Our leaflet provides parents with all of the basic information they need, including what our name label products are, what they cost, and all of the different ways they can order.
All you need to do is get in touch with us to tell us how many leaflets you need and the address to send them to. You can give us a call, send us an email, or even simply fill in our online Request Leaflets form.
  • A guide to help you set up a link on your website
Our “Linking Your Site To Us” page helps you generate the code you need to create a link from your website to our website. This will encourage parents to visit our website directly and will automatically add your unique code to their order – which guarantees that that order will generate commission for your organisation.
This is an easy way to let parents know that they can raise funds for your organisation (while providing a solution to the nightmare of lost property) and has the extra benefit of boosting your commission to 25%.

Why Should I Use Name Labels?

Thursday, February 5th, 2015

It’s a common question and many people feel that they don’t have the time or the money to spend on name labels. However, we’d argue (as you might expect) that there are far more benefits to using name labels than you might realise, both practical and personal in nature.

  • Save Money
Yes, name labels can save you money; our name labels are most commonly used on school uniform and equipment, which is often quite expensive to purchase. Schools often have extensive uniform lists as well as requirements for textbooks and specific equipment for most, if not all, subjects. Ensuring that your child has every item on these lists often means spending quite a lot of money – money that you will have to pay again if these items go missing. Labelling your child’s uniform and equipment means that lost items are much more likely to be returned and you won’t end up having to pay for replacements.
  • Save Time
Name labels are a fantastic way to get organised, particularly if you’ve got a big family. With name labels, it’s easy to sort out what belongs to whom; whether you’re sorting out washing or just tidying up personal items at home. You also save the time that you’d need to spend shopping for replacement items or visiting the school to root through their lost property collection in the hopes of retrieving your child’s uniform or possessions.
  • Prevent Arguments
It’s common for arguments to flare up when siblings have similar or matching clothing and possessions, whether it’s stuff for school or their own personal items. Adding name labels to clothing and personal items is a quick and easy way to settle any debates about what belongs to whom.
  • Prevent Distress
Our name labels are often bought by customers on behalf of relatives or friends who are in nursing or residential care homes. In these situations, adding a name label is a simple way to make sure that clothing and personal items are always returned to their rightful owner. In these facilities, clothing is washed in laundry departments where it is possible that clothing may be mixed up and residents often share communal areas where personal items may be moved around or go missing. Labelling clothing and personal items with a name label can prevent the distress caused when these items – often of significant sentimental value – go missing.
Children are also likely to take personal items to school to share with friends, which often leads to distress if these items are lost. Again, adding a name label is a simple way to help avoid the upsetting situation of your child losing something that is precious to them.
  • Provide Important Information In An Emergency
Name labels can provide information that may prove vital in an emergency. If you include contact information on your name labels, this information is always on hand should your child ever get lost.
You can also have name labels printed with medical and allergy information, so that this information is available in the event of an emergency, which will allow people nearby to react accordingly and provide the correct assistance. These labels are particularly useful for labelling lunch boxes and water bottles, labelling medical supplies, or to create extra medical alerts such as homemade medical bracelets.

FAQ – What’s Included In My Order?

Monday, February 2nd, 2015

We want to make sure that all of our customers get the very best out of their name labels, which is why we send out a few extras with each order to make your labels as quick and easy to use as possible.

So what’s included in your order?

  • Letter/Receipt
The covering letter contains the details of your order including: a Customer Reference Number (which you can quote if you need to contact us with any queries about your order or to repeat a previous order), the contents of your order (the packs you ordered and the text requested for each one), and the cost of your order (including the VAT and total amount paid).
  • A5 Information Leaflet
Our information leaflet contains some general information about our STIKINS ® name labels and our TRONS ® name transfers. We’ve also included a list of the ways you can order STIKINS ® and TRONS ®, with the back of the leaflet providing an order form that can be used to order more name labels by post.
  • STIKINS ® Name Labels
Each set of name labels is sent in its own transparent bag, which is printed with an easy to follow set of instructions for use. This means that if you don’t use all your STIKINS ® at once, you can store them safely in the bag until you need them (and the instructions) again.
  • TRONS ® Name Transfers
Our TRONS ® name transfers are also sent in transparent bags; each bag contains your TRONS ® name transfers, two sheets of silicon per sheet of name transfers, and a step by step guide to applying your TRONS ®. Like the STIKINS ® packs, this means that you can safely store your TRONS ® for future use, along with those all-important instructions.

Each set of STIKINS ® and TRONS ® is sent in its own bag to ensure that there’ll be no mix ups between the sets or any confusion between your STIKINS ® and your TRONS ®.

Of course, you might have a question that isn’t answered by the information included with your order. If this is the case, take a look through our information pages on our website or get in touch with us and we’ll do our best to answer any query that you might have.
